Assistive technology is any piece of equipment or product used to maintain or improve functional capabilities of people with disabilities. At Student Disability Services (SDS), we work with a diverse group of students to help identify technologies that can provide access to instruction in an academic setting.
In collaboration with our campus partners at Cornell Information Technologies and Cornell University Libraries, SDS has ensured that public computing spaces have assistive technologies, including Braille, located throughout the Ithaca campus. For more information on the assistive technologies available on our campus, visit our interactive map.
SDS continues to be a campus resource by providing information and learning opportunities to increase awareness of how assistive technology can be used to mitigate barriers to access in an academic setting. For information on upcoming events, please see the Cornell Events Calendar.
