Assistive technology is any piece of equipment or product used to maintain or improve functional capabilities of people with disabilities. At Student Disability Services (SDS), we help identify technologies that can provide access to instruction in an academic setting.
With help from our campus partners at Cornell Information Technologies and Cornell University Libraries, public computing spaces throughout the Ithaca campus have assistive technologies, including Braille. For more information on the assistive technologies available on our campus, visit our interactive map.
SDS provides information and learning opportunities to increase awareness of how assistive technology can be used to mitigate barriers to access in an academic setting. For information on upcoming events, please see the Cornell Events Calendar.
