What I do: I assist with many aspects of the Alternative Testing Program (ATP) such as helping students, faculty, and course staff in managing their exams, helping to manage exam logistics, troubleshooting issues that occur during exams, and helping to ensure that students with accommodations have everything they need to take their exams.

Health Leaves Coordinator

What I do: My role is to help students navigate the Health Leave of Absence process and other university procedures before, during, and after a leave. My goal is to facilitate a smooth and efficient exit from the university when a student determines that they need to take time away for reasons related to a disability or physical/mental health reason. I use a holistic approach to help students position themselves well to resume their studies and access the student experience at Cornell. I also serve as a liaison between academic units, administrative units, students, and families.

What I do: I lead data and assessment efforts for our department, and coordinate many of the departmental logistics (e.g., IT, procurement, contracts, grants, etc.). I also provide general oversight to the specific services our department offers (Accessible Media Resource Center, transportation services, communication access services such as interpreting, note taking supports, software, and equipment). 

Things to know about me: I am passionate about accessibility, especially digital accessibility, and hold certification through IAAP. I am a Cornell alum (COE)! One of my favorite things about SDS is our Lending Library.

How else I am involved at Cornell: I am part of the Digital Instructional Content & Tools Accessibility (DICTA) project I also serve on the Cornell Health Steering Committee, and division-wide groups focused on assessment and data.

What I do: I manage the Alternative Testing Program (ATP). I help reserve and manage rooms, work with students and faculty to implement exam accommodations, and provide supervision to program proctors. I also troubleshoot any issues that occur during exams, and work with TAs and course staff to ensure that students have everything they need during exams. My goal is to ensure that students in participating classes have an equitable opportunity to excel during exams.

I collaborate with faculty, staff and students to ensure that all aspects of student life are accessible and inclusive of students with disabilities and to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local non-discrimination regulations.

What I do: I lead and oversee the accommodation determination team within Student Disability Services, ensuring timely and equitable access for students. I support SDS in advancing accessible programming and collaborate with campus partners to establish inclusive practices and policies. My work focuses on fostering a proactive culture of accessibility at Cornell, moving beyond compliance toward systemic inclusion for all members of the community.

Hobbies and interests: When the weather warms up, I love hitting the road in a self-built Sprinter van with my spouse, two adventurous black cats, and our corgi pup—they’ve explored the lower 48, Canada, and Mexico! I’m passionate about learning how spaces include access for mobility device users like myself. Beyond travel, I enjoy art, watercolor painting, crafting, baking, and cooking. I’m also a big fan of board games and tabletop games, anything that brings people together for creativity and fun.

What else to know about me: I’m new to Cornell and to Ithaca, so I’m still getting the lay of the land and learning about all the opportunities available. I enjoy engaging in downtown events and volunteering when possible, both on campus and within the local community.
